1. Open your app and enter your destination in the "Where to?" field

2. Swipe up to see all vehicle options available in your area. Tap one to select it for your ride, then tap "Choose Uber X" (button will be your vehicle selection)

3. You may be asked to confirm your pickup location. If so, move the pin on the map, or select from a list of locations. Tap "Confirm Pickup" to send your request to eligible drivers in the area

4. If you're not asked to confirm your pickup, tap "Confirm UberX" (button will be your vehicle selection) to send your request to eligible drivers in the area

5. Once a driver accepts your request, you'll see their location and estimated time of arrival on the map

- If a trip is eligible for an active promotion on your account, the trip price will reflect the discount - Factors like heavy traffic or bad weather that extend the distance or duration of your ride can affect the amount you're actually charged

If you're interested in driving in a different city than the one you're currently approved to drive in, visit the Signing Up section of the Help Center to learn about the specific local requirements for any city where Uber is available. Here's how:

1. Sign into help.uber.com and navigate to the partner Signing Up help section
2. In the top right corner of the page, select the city you'd like to drive in.
3. Navigate to the Requirements section in the help menu to review driving requirements for the city you'd like to drive in

We'll review your account and explain the steps you can take to drive in a new city. Please note that we do not support temporary changes in city.

A trip fare is determined by the route's total time and distance. When a stop is made during a trip, this waiting time is included in the fare. Any distance traveled to additional stops prior to the rider's final destination will also be included.

When riders ask you to make a stop on the way to their final destination, let the trip continue. Swipe COMPLETE TRIP only after riders exit your vehicle at their final destination.
